Helicon, the Yale undergraduate journal of Classics, is a peer-reviewed literary magazine published every year and widely distributed in print and online. We accept submissions from undergraduate students around the world, aiming to establish a network of support and a sense of community among undergraduate, graduate students, and faculty in the Classics. Helicon aims to foster undergraduate scholarship in Classics by providing undergraduate students with a forum in which to publish their writing and research. Helicon encourages submissions on ancient Mediterranean history, art, philosophy, architecture, culture, and literature. Submissions may be in any format (including research papers, translations, creative writing, screenplays, illustrations). Helicon also aims to bridge perceived gaps between Classics and contemporary discussions by making our content accessible to a wider community and engaging with the local community among those interested in the Classics broadly defined.
