Helicon: The Yale Undergraduate Journal of Classics is a literary magazine published every year and widely distributed in print and online.
It aims to foster scholarship in the Classics by providing undergraduate students with a forum to print their writing and research.Helicon encourages submissions on ancient mediterranean history, art, philosophy, architecture, culture, and literature. Submissions may be in any format (including research paper, translations, creative writing, screenplay, illustrations). Please send submissions and direct questions to helicon.publication@gmail.com.
We also aim to bridge perceived gaps between the Classics and contemporary discussions by making our content accessible to a wider community and engaging with the local community. We hope to establish a network of support and sense of community among those interested in the Classics broadly defined.
