Event description: 
On Thursday, February 1st, at 4:00 pm EST, we will discuss Hans-Ulrich Wiemer’s Theoderic the Great: King of Goths, Ruler of Romans, translated by John Noel Dillon. Our conversation will take the form of a 75-minute informal discussion on the book in a hybrid format, both in-person in HQ 327 and on zoom. We ask that all participants read the Introduction, Chapter 6 (The Consolidation of Power), and 9 (A “Golden Age”? Italy under Gothic Rule) as well as the Translator’s Note.
