On Thursday April 17 at 4pm in Phelps 401, John Matthews will join us to discuss his new book From Byzantium to Constantinople: An Urban History. Professor Matthews has suggested we read chapters 2-4 in advance of the meeting (attached), and the entire book is available online through Yale library.
