Maddie is a graduate student in the combined program in Classics and History. She received her BA in Classics and Religion from Washington and Lee University (2021) and an MA in Classics from the University of Notre Dame (2023). Her MA thesis, “Women in the Delphic Manumission Inscriptions” examined the relationships between women and children within these inscriptions.
Maddie’s primary research interests include epigraphy, ancient slavery, and marginalized Roman populations, specifically women freedmen, and children.
