Yale’s expertise on the Homer film has been tapped for reactions to the blockbuster Christopher Nolan adaptation of The Odyssey. Professor Egbert Bakker was asked for comments in the New York Times and France Culture. And Professor Ben Kruchió’s dual expertise in the Odyssey and film led to an interview on the film with Yale News and an online discussion of the film with fellow Hellenists Tim Whitmarsh and Emma Greensmith. Moreover, Prof. Kruchió has just published an essay on the new film in the Los Angeles Review of Books.
