A panel on Afro-Greeks organized by Sarah Derbew (PhD 2018, now Harvard University) and Patrice Rankine (PhD 1998, now University of Richmond) honors Emily’s work on the Greco-Roman classics in African and Afro-Caribbean traditions. Professor Greenwood will deliver the Clack Lecture on “Speaking Bones: Classical Philology in Black Experimental Writing” at the meeting.
