Tiziano entered the Classics Department in 2023, in the Classics Philology track. His fields of research include Augustan poetry and propaganda, Latin epic poetry and bookish Hellenistic epigrams. Since joining Yale University, he has been working on the reception of Classics in Italy during the Fascist dictatorship, particularly focusing on the use of Latin in epigraphy and texts.
Before coming to Yale, he studied in Sapienza, University of Rome, where he earned his BA and MA in Classics. He wrote both his dissertations on Hellenistic epigrams of Greek Anthology, providing the first integral comment on two authors, Tymnes and Rhianus. He spent his second year of MA in Paris, as an exchange student in École Normale Supérieure.
