We are excited to announce that the January meeting of the Classics Anti-Racism Reading Group will take the form of a book club session! We will be reading Anthony Abraham Jack’s The Privileged Poor: How Elite Colleges Are Failing Disadvantaged Students with CJ Rice leading our discussion. This will take place at 12.15pm in Phelps 401 on Friday 28 January, and there will be accommodations made for remote participation.
If you would like to join us in this session – either remotely or in-person – please RSVP on this Google Form by Sunday 5 December so that you may receive a complimentary copy of the book before winter break. Since both digital and physical copies of the book are available, please let us know which version you would prefer, provided that you can pick up the physical copy yourself from Phelps.
