Sarah Insley is a specialist in post-Classical Greek philology and literature, focusing in particular on monastic literature, hagiography, and liturgical texts in Late Antiquity and Byzantium. She earned her PhD in Byzantine Greek in the Department of the Classics at Harvard, where she subsequently taught for two years as a College Fellow. She has held a junior fellowship in Byzantine Studies at Dumbarton Oaks in Washington, D.C., and an ACLS New Faculty Fellowship at Brown University in the Department of Classics.
