Reier entered the Joint Program in Classics and Philosophy in 2014. He has previously studied at the University of Oslo and the University of Toronto. Reier’s main interests are ancient philosophy and metaphysics. He has particular interests in Stoic philosophy, mereology and ontology. He wrote his master’s thesis on Cicero’s De Natura Deorum and why the Stoics thought that the whole physical cosmos is a living god.
